Here are a couple pictures of tigers that I ripped off of google image search.
Now here is a picture of a tiger I took while at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans.
I like tigers. Not only because I was addicted to frosted flakes when I was little, but because of what happened at the Omaha Zoo as kid.
We were in Omaha visiting my sister, but she had to work that afternoon, so my parents being pretty cool took me to the zoo.
It was probably around this time of year and it was also pretty cool outside. I remember there not being very many people there. It must have been a week day.
So we get to the tiger exhibit and to my astonishment, the tiger is awake and moving around. He comes right up to the glass!
My Dad took his jacket off and started waving it back and forth against the glass. It caught our tiger's attention. His head was following it for about a minute, and then the tiger jumped up on the glass and tried to bat at the jacket! Like a real frickin cat!
WOW!!!
My Dad played with the tiger for a few more minutes until they both lost interest.
To this day, it was one of the most exciting things I've ever seen.
Thanks Dad. Thanks Tiger.
For good measure, let's hear Wildcat by Ratatat.
(A little more about my childhood. We had a schnauzer named Tiger. He was the best. He came with that name and we never changed it.)
I always had a fascination with white tigers. Camoflauged and dangerous. I like "Wildcat" by Ratatat for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteme likey.
ReplyDeletei was hoping for 37 consecutive pictures of tigers. these 3 will however suffice
ReplyDeletei still eat frosted flakes.
